I met Lisa and David at a wine tasting. It was easy to see what a great couple they are. His easy going manner made her smile and his comedy had all of us laughing, almost the entire night. After our meeting, Lisa and I shared many late nights talking about wedding finds and details, two peas in a pod! Their wedding was going to be amazing and I wasn’t disappointed!
It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in San Diego, CA. The wedding was to be held on the South Lawn of the Marina Village Conference Center. I had been to the conference center before for another wedding, but each one is so unique and wonderful! The day was a bit blustery, but that made for a cool breeze in the hot sun.
I was so honored to be able to photograph such a lovely couple at such a gorgeous venue. Congratulations to the happy couple!!
Lisa wore a gorgeous fit and flare Galina Signature gown purchased at David’s Bridal. A beautiful headband purchased from Stoney Creek Boutiques graced the top of her head adding a touch of vintage charm.
This talented DIY bride used some amazing silk florals to decorate the arch way. I was amazed at how beautiful the flowers looked and how well they photographed! It was the perfect touch and they get to keep them forever.
Look at his smile upon seeing his bride! So touching to get to see the love he has for her.
Pastor Jeff Saville, from So Cal Christian Weddings, was a wonderful pastor and blessed them with a beautiful, hands-on wedding ceremony.
The couple planned a beautiful candle lighting ceremony, and although it was too windy for them to light the candles, just going through the motions was a touching moment for the pair.
The Happy Couple:
Lisa was surrounded by her gorgeous daughters, Krista, Nichole and Brianna, who were her bridesmaids. Her eldest daughter, Krista was the Maid of Honor.
The bridal party held fresh cream tulips tied in black satin and wore black sheath dresses, each picked out by the ladies to fit their personality and style. Flowers were provided by Petals By The Beach.
The “groomsmen” were David’s son, his beautiful daughter, and his best friend. His best friend was also master of ceremonies and DJ for the wedding.
The wedding colors were gold, black and cream. Cream linens, a black lace table runner and gold chargers created a luxe look.
Glass vases filled with white hydrangeas finished off the beautiful tables.
Lisa and David had a delicious, tulip adorned dessert table. They had a variety of cupcakes for their guests and a small personal cake for cutting. The flavors were light and the texture divine! Hans & Harry Bakery definitely get a gold star in my book!!
I adored this DIY bar set-up that a family friend put together. Their very close friend dedicated his time to assist in the beverages for the wedding! Definitely, an amazing gift.
Lisa and David had one of the most gorgeous and loving first dances that I had ever seen. David sang to Lisa as they turned on the dance floor. It was truly beautiful and so romantic!! A night that no one will ever forget.
I was so honored to be able to celebrate with David and Lisa as they promised their lives together forever.
It was such an honor being able to photograph this amazing couple’s wedding. There were so many special moments, truly too many to count. Their elegance and grace was etched into every little detail. From the photos on the wall to the colors on the table, everything was truly perfect and every piece spoke to their love for each other. David and Lisa, may you live together forever remembering this perfect day and the promises made. I am so honored to be called friend.
